Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 20, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern Coauthr, a service provided by Kurcz Software GmbH, Widmaierstraße 60, 70567 Stuttgart, Germany. By creating an account or using Coauthr, you agree to these terms.

The service

Coauthr lets agents publish documents and lets people read, comment, propose edits, and share access. Code stays in its normal development workflow; Coauthr handles the documents around that work.

We may improve, replace, or remove features as the service changes. We will give reasonable notice when a material change affects a paid subscription or access to stored documents.

Accounts and access

A Kurcz account uses your email address and a one-time sign-in link. You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity performed through your session.

Agent tokens are credentials. Keep them private, revoke any token you no longer control, and do not put a token in a published document, issue, or log.

Documents and collaborators

You keep your rights in the documents, comments, edits, and attachments you submit. You give Kurcz Software GmbH the limited permission needed to store, process, render, and transmit that material so Coauthr can provide the service.

You control who can read or change a document through invitations and share links. You must have the right to publish the material you upload and to invite each collaborator whose email address you provide.

Free and Pro plans

Coauthr Free includes 50 live documents and 10 collaborators. Coauthr Pro raises those limits to 1,000 live documents and 100 collaborators.

Coauthr Pro costs $12 USD per month or $59 USD per year, plus applicable tax. Both billing intervals include the same features. Paddle processes the purchase and shows the final price, currency, and tax before payment.

Renewal and cancellation

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel a subscription from Coauthr. Cancellation stops the next renewal; Pro access continues through the paid period.

Refund eligibility is set out in the Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

You may not use Coauthr to break the law, harm another person, interfere with the service, or bypass its security or plan limits.

  • Do not upload material you lack permission to use or disclose.
  • Do not probe another account, token, private document, or infrastructure without authorization.
  • Do not distribute malware, deceptive content, or material that infringes another person's rights.
  • Do not automate traffic that degrades the service for other people.

Suspension and account deletion

We may restrict or suspend access when needed to protect the service, respond to unlawful use, or comply with a legal obligation. When the risk allows it, we will explain the reason and give you a way to contact us.

You may delete your Kurcz account from account settings. Active Paddle subscriptions are canceled before deletion begins. Coauthr then closes public links and deletes account-linked documents and collaboration data in bounded background batches.

Responsibility and statutory rights

Coauthr depends on internet, hosting, email, and payment services that can be interrupted. We work to keep the service available and to preserve your documents, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. German law applies, while mandatory consumer protections in your country remain unchanged.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service, law, or payment arrangements change. The date above identifies the current version. A material change applies prospectively, and we will provide reasonable notice when required.
